Acupuncture Reduce Menstrual Pain

We know that the menstrual period is often accompanied by a variety of complaints, especially menstrual pain. According to a review of 27 studies, researchers from South Korea stated that acupuncture is quite effective against menstrual pain.

In the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the researchers noted that there is quite convincing evidence that acupuncture is effective for abdominal cramps due to pre-menstrual symptoms. In addition to more effective, acupuncture is also considered to have less side effects than drugs.

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a set of symptoms, both physical and emotional, which is experienced by women before menstruation. The common symptoms experienced are joint or muscle pain, abdominal cramps, dizziness, fatigue, until more sensitive or irritable.

In general, the doctor will give you pain medication, although some studies indicate the presence of long-term side effects on the use of these drugs.

In research conducted by experts from South Korea, 27 studies involving 3,000 women examined. These women do an alternative method to reduce the symptoms of PMS, including acupuncture.
